CONTACT SUPERVISION:
Specialist teams experienced
in all aspects of contact supervision are available to work in difficult
contact situations either in the client’s homes or at our week-end
contact centre. All facets of contact can be arranged including
facilitating, monitoring, supervising, parenting skills assistance
and assessment. Contact reports are provided and where appropriate
assessments for Court and Professional Guidance are prepared.
CONTACT SUPPORT ACCOMODATION:
As a part of our commitment to contact support we have joined with
Hillchurch House and can now offer an appropriate weekend venue.
Situated in the Burslem area of Stoke on Trent, Hillchurch House
has six contact rooms and two outside play areas.
The centre will be open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Spring
Garden staff will be on hand to supervise the building.
The cost will be £20.00 per hour for use of the building and
its facilities, including large communal play areas equipped with
toys, a quiet room for difficult contact cases, baby changing facilities,
kitchen and outside activity areas.
We can act as contact supervisors if needed and this will be charged
at our usual rates.
INDIRECT CONTACT:
We will facilitate the safe exchange
of information including audio, video, photographic recordings and
vet the contents where appropriate. We can organise audio, video
and photographic sessions if needed and operate our own:-
Contact Support Post Box
- Safe and Secure.
- Guaranteed confidentiality.
- Meets the specific needs of individual cases.
- Administrated tracking.
- Designed to stay in place for as long as needed.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMMENTS:
Qualified and experienced
practitioners in children and family work are available to carry
out assessments and make recommendations for Court or Colleagues.
Throughout the Child’s Welfare will be
paramount and where appropriate the child’s wishes and feelings
will be properly sought and reported. In the preparation of reports
the solution focussed model philosophy will be used in all areas
of the assessment including direct work with children and their families.
LIFE AND CONTACT STORY WORK:
Our work will centre
on the need for young people to have an understanding of their past
and origins. Working closely with children, families, co-workers
and significant others the structure of the work
will properly reflect the delicate nature of this work and produce
a real account of the past history and the decision that led to the
changes affecting those involved.
FAMILY THERAPY:
Solution Focused Therapy will be used
to help families to recognise the need to change existing behaviours
and to work together to an agreed preferred position that will bring
about positive change.
PARENTING ASSESSMENTS:
Assessment will take into consideration
the support needed to develop positive life skills and support young
people to prepare for parenting. The assessment process will be
in line with ‘The Assessment
Framework of Children in Need and their Families’ Particular
attention will be given to the quality of relationships and interaction,
the parent’s ability to physically and emotionally care for
and properly protect their child/children, the recognition of child’s
needs, appropriate communication and response to behaviour.
PARENTING PLANS:
Designed to help make arrangements
for children and to discuss these with them and others who may be
involved. The plan will take into consideration the individuality
of those involved and be realistic in its objectives.
DIVORCE RECOVERY:
Solution Focussed practice will
provide a safe supportive environment for discussion and assistance
to help with the inevitable readjustment to the changes in the client’s
lives.
SCHOOL HOME SUPPORT:
Provides a range of flexible
support services to young people, families, teachers and other professional
dealing with the problems associated with home and school. The service
is child centred and encourages the young person to access appropriate
services and talk to their parents and others who might be the cause
of the problem.
THE INVESTIGATION NEGOTIATION AND RE-PATRIATION OF
ABDUCTED OR REMOVED CHILDREN:
Since 1994 we have been involved in
these delicate areas of investigation and negotiations. We have an
excellent return rate and have operated as investigators in the UK
and abroad. We have a network of professional operators throughout
the world through our continued association with Select Associates
Investigators Limited. (See our link).
MEDIATION AND NEGOTIATION:
We are conscious of using
this accepted communication experience at the right time. Many mediation
experiences have had a negative effect because the timing has been
wrong for the participants. However, when the timing is right this
is a very effective working tool that can be the most productive
way of moving entrenched positions forward. We have a long history
of mediation and negotiation and continue to help bring about positive
outcomes.
